Chief Minister Relief Fund-WEST BENGAL
The Chief Minister of WEST BENGAL has announced a scholarship for poor students of West Bengal named Chief Minister Relief Fund.The Govt. of West Bengal has published a notification for financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students of west bengal. Who have passed Madhyamik, Higher secondary or Graduation are eligible to apply. The scholarship amount is Rs. 10000.00 for one year. You can apply for it second time. Here is all you need to know.
Eligibility:
1) The student must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.2) Who is currently studying in a institute recognized by west bengal and after passing out from the state board or council or a state aided university of west bengal.
3) Who has secured at least 65% marks in madhyamik and 60% in higher secondary exam and 55% in hons. subject (for pg level).
4) Who do not enjoy any other scholarship from governmental (state/central) or private organization during this year or during this course of study.
5)Whose annual family income does not exceed 60000 rupees per annum.
How to apply:
- People who are interested to apply for Chief Minister Relief Fund scholarship may download the form and filled it up with required data and send along with required documents.
- Who have secured more than 75% marks they are not eligible for this scholarship, they can apply for Merit Cum Means Scholarship on Bikash Vabhan.

Required Documents to be submitted:
- At first you have to write an application by hand addressing to The Chief Minister with mentioning the reason for applying and the essential data.
- You have to sign the application by MLA / MP for recommendation.
- Fill up the application form and affix a colour passport size recent photo and photo is to be attested by Head of the institution in which the candidate is currently studying.
- Recommendation from MLA/MP with mentioning the annual family income of the candidate.
- Self Declaration form by the candidate which is to be attested by the Head of the Institute.
- Mark sheets of all previous exam passed.
- Admit card and certificate of all previous exam passed.
- Income Certificate by BDO/SDO/DM and the income needs to be less than or equal to 60000 rupees per annum.
- The xerox copy of 1st page of the passbook of Bank account.
- Photocopy of Aadhar Card, Ration card and Birth Certificate.
- Fees receipt of the current year issued by the institute.
- Character Certificate issued by the last institute attended.
- Copy of Rank Card/ Allotment Letter if applicable.
