How to speak English fluently with confidence

Here are some easiest steps how to learn spoken English:

There are many students in India who search it on the internet How to speak English fluently. English is now a global language. English is now essential everywhere and every time to step forward in our society. But one can't learn English in five minutes a day. We don't have any tips which can help you to get spoken English within a day.
Here we can give you some solid tips which can make you stronger in English and you can learn it easily if you have dedication. Building up any skills takes time and dedication.

  • Don't study grammar so much

It can seem confusing that without grammar how can one speak English?
Yes, it's true. If you are preparing for UPSC or any other exam then study grammar but if you want to become fluent in English conversation then don't study grammar too much.

Studying more grammar will slow you down actually, you will frequently start translating into English from your language. The reason why I am saying this you need to be able to speak English without thinking for the correct word or sentence construction too much.

So ask the question yourself that do you want pass an exam on grammar part or do you want to become fluent in English?

  •  Use English in your daily life

Try to use English in your daily life, using English is much better than to read English. If you use English 10 minutes per day, is better than 1 hour reading per day. Here are some tips how to include English in your daily life-

  1. Read the English news online and listen to English news every day.
  2.  Practice thinking English while you are doing some work or exercise.
  3.  Watch Youtube videos in English, English documentary.
  4.  Read English newspaper every day.

  •  Learn and study phrases

At first, you should learn and study phrases instead of trying to speak in full sentences.
If you know almost 1000 words you maybe can't speak a proper sentence but if you know some phrases you can tell 100 sentences. So when you will know 1000 phrases you will become a fluent English speaker.

So don't waste hours and hours to learn many new words, spend that time to study phrases and you will be closer to English fluency.

  • Get a regular speaking partner

You can't just study English...you need to apply it properly.
So find a speaking partner who is able to converse in English. If you don't then you can speak to yourself and make the mirror your friend and it will make you more confident. You can find it from conversation exchange website.
Try to converse at least once a week. Practicing English is the best way to more fluent as well as it will make you confident.

  •  Read, learn and listen to English in many different contexts

If you watch only English news channel then you will be able to learn a formal style of English, but not a typical conversation between two native English speakers.
Again if you watch only English movies or listen to songs then you will have no idea about academic English.
So try to diversify your English input:

  1.  Fiction and non-fiction
  2. Formal and informal
  3. Lectures and conversations
  4. Serious subjects and comedy
  5. Etc.

  • Try to think in English

This is one of the biggest keys of English speaking. But how will you learn it?

At first, think individual words and then try to think the whole sentence and finally think the whole conversation and the stories which are in your head.

It is the best way because if you make a mistake nobody will find out, so don't be afraid of a mistake while you are thinking. Just think in English. Because you can think it anywhere anytime.

  • Don't give up...Never stop learning

If you thinking to study and learn English then never stop learning. Many students have stopped studying then...start again. Again stop...again restart. May be you have done this too. Don't do this.

English speaking needs to have the dedication and practice consistently.

Here are some tips....

  1. Learn a new word every day.
  2. Keep calm and try to read and think a whole sentence.
  3. Increase your vocabulary
  4. Listen, Speak, Read, Write and repeat again.
  5. Say same things with different words- be creative.

If you do this, you will reach your goal of English fluency.
